Well in this
semester we have 5 subjects: Anatomic and biological bases, Chemistry, physics,
dexterity and info-technologies. I think the last one is not necessary, it is
the most useless subject in all the program. In that subject the professors taught
us how to use simple programs like excel, PowerPoint, photoshop (this isn’t so
easy), among others. So, I think this subject should not be on the program.
But the “necessary”
subjects are too difficult, specifically anatomic and biological bases (AaBB),
this semester I have spent more than 80% of my study time on this subject, is
very tedious to learn, for example, all the names of the different branches of
an artery or the proteins involved in the formation of dental enamel. But that
isn’t everything, the anatomical cuts, also known as chops, are so old that
they look like charqui, it’s impossible distinguish among an artery, a vein or
a nerve, because of that the practical exams are always a massacre. So, I think
that other cuts should be used or have more practice time. The 3 others are
more tolerable.
About the
infrastructure, I’d like to change the “Jose Joaquín Aguirre” auditorium
because the chairs are not chairs, they are like a horizontal board. The tables
are not tables, they are a piece of old board, and the distance between nearby
desks is so small that you must choose between being uncomfortable and writing or
paying attention semi-comfortable (because is impossible to be comfortable in those
desks). I´d like all classes to be in the auditoriums of the dentistry faculty.
I think everything else is acceptable except the casino is
the other thing that I’d like to change.
university needs to be more aesthetic
